Farm Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Farm Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of a progressive 140-cow dairy farm in the Nenagh area. This role requires someone with leadership skills and the ability to maintain high standards and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all livestock are cared for to the highest standard, including feeding, health monitoring, veterinary treatment, lameness management etc.
• Full responsibility for grassland management and utilisation
• Maintain a consistent, high-standard milking routine
• Monitor and manage young stock health and performance including 50-100 head of beef animals
• Manage the farm breeding programme
• Operate standard dairy farm machinery and equipment including slurry spreading, zero grazing, fertiliser spreading and diet feeding.
• Communicate and liaise professionally with farm owners, staff, relief milkers, contractors, and neighbours.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date herd health and medical records.
• Report directly to the farm owner on performance and operations
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and organisation standards across the farm

Essential Requirements;

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Capable of assuming sole responsibility
• Full clean driving licence.
• Good ability to communicate well in English.
• Superior work ethic.
• Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €40,000-€50,000 per year plus bonus
