Agricultural Consultant

Gleeson Agricultural Consultancy Ltd, based in Ballycummin village, Raheen, Co. Limerick is seeking to recruit an agricultural consultant to support farmers across Limerick, Tipperary and Clare. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early career candidate. I would also consider part time for the right candidate that possibly wanted time for farming at home also.  The primary responsibilities include working with farmers and landowners to provide guidance on department of agriculture schemes and regulations (Biss, Eco, Tams, and Acres etc.) farm nutrient management plans and general farm advice.

Essential requirements:

A level 8 qualification in agriculture.

Knowledge of Irish farming systems and environment issues affecting farm land.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work on your own and as part of a small team.

Competent It skills, and attention to detail is very important.

Full clean driving licence.

DAFM fas approval or wiliness to get approval at next opportunity.

Salary and Role details:

Salary will be depending on experience

Full time position.37.5hrs/week. Will also consider part time hours for suitable candidate who for example is farming at home.

You will be able to work from home, will be just required to attend office occasionally at certain times. Will be also required to travel to meet farmers at certain times also.

Mileage and subsistence will be paid.

No previous experience required.

Training and mentoring provided.
