Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.
With the most modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis, the Group supplies to a broad customer base including some of the world’s foremost ‘blue chip’ companies across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer food channels on a domestic Ireland, UK, European and global basis. Internationally we export some 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.
The Group’s Agribusiness Division operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

The Role
Our Agri Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in growing and supporting our farm customer base across their allocated territory. The successful applicant will promote and sell Lakeland Dairies’ full range of feed, fertiliser, and farm inputs while providing farmers with best‑in‑class technical support and nutritional advice.
With a strong focus on building relationships, expanding your customer portfolio, and achieving agreed sales, margin, and debtor targets, you’ll represent a business known for its technology‑led approach and market‑leading on‑farm support. This role is all about adding value, delivering results, and supporting farmers with the tools they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities will include (Not limited to):

  • Work and participate positively as an active team member within an existing network of customers and other sales representatives to further grow sales within the region.
  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager, ensure the achievement of all agreed targets and objectives
  • Debt collection and credit control, achieving debtor day targets.
  • Maintain existing customers and develop new sustainable business and customers in the target catchment area, based on adding value through market leading technical and service support.
  • Contribute positively and actively to the planning process and participate in various projects as required from time to time.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager to develop accurate forecast volumes.

The Person
We’re looking for a self‑motivated individual who brings strong relationship‑building skills and a genuine passion for supporting customers. You’ll be organised, detail‑focused, and driven to deliver results, with the determination to meet defined objectives and continually raise the bar. This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a role where customer relationships and personal drive really matter.
From an experience perspective, you’ll have a proven track record in ruminant nutrition and sales, demonstrating both practical knowledge and commercial awareness. A formal qualification in this area is an advantage, but we’re equally interested in strong hands‑on experience and the ability to apply your expertise effectively on farm. Above all, we’re looking for someone who brings energy, credibility, and a commitment to delivering value for our customers.
