Currently seeking to recruit an Agricultural Advisor to support farmers across Co. Kerry.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career candidate. The primary responsibilities include working closely with farmers and landowners to provide guidance on Department of Agriculture schemes and regulations (BISS, ECO, TAMS, ACRES etc), farm nutrient management plans, NPWS schemes, preparing SAC-related documentation, relevant exemption or planning applications.
Essential Requirements

A Level 8 qualification in Agriculture

Knowledge of Irish farming systems and environmental issues affecting farmland

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team

Good communication and organisational skills and attention to detail

Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Co. Kerry
Desirable
-
DAFM FAS Approval
-
Familiarity with DAFM schemes, habitat assessment, farm planning, or agri-environment schemes

Knowledge of farmland, grassland, peatland, or upland habitats and indicator species

Work placement, internship, or field survey experience

Knowledge of biodiversity and wildlife legislation in Ireland
Salary and Role Details

Salary 35k-42k, depending on experience

Full time position, 37.5hrs per week
