Job Description


Roadstone Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the positions of Sales Representative in the South West Region. The appointed person(s) will be responsible for the marketing and sales of all our range of products.



Key Areas of Responsibility:

Sales & Commercial Execution

·      Accurately forecasts revenue pipelines

·      Constantly innovate ways to balance sales opportunities, customer management, and new customer on-boarding

·      Draws upon organisational resources to build customer-focused relationships

·      Conducts cost/benefit analysis before pursuing potential business


Customer Relationships

·      Skilled in developing customer collaboration and commitment at all stages of the value chain, negotiating for win-win outcomes

·      Strengthens customer relationships through building service ethic within the sales teams; anticipates and provide solutions to customer needs; strives for customer satisfaction

·      Skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships with key product Specifiers

·      Will be required to attend seminars, conferences, customer related events, tradeshows etc., outside of normal working hours, at weekends and in various locations.


Strengthen the Company

·      Listen to the needs of the market and share the learning internally with Operational, Technical teams and Commercial Dept.

·      Be proactive about solving problems (even if it’s outside of your area)

·      Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge

·      Be proactive to learn and re-educate on all Architectural and Value Added Product ranges.


The following knowledge, skills and competencies are required for this role:

·      Possesses knowledge about where Roadstone products are positioned in the marketplace relative to competitors

·      Strong sales process discipline and architectural product knowledge

·      Presentation skills and prior sales experience would be an advantage

·      Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills

·      Results focused-pursue stretch goals and take advantage of opportunities

·      Knowledge of relevant IT packages including Oracle, Command Alkon and Microsoft Office products
