Part-Time General Manager
The Beef Plan Movement
Location: Remote (Ireland)
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
The Beef Plan Movement is a leading farming organisation dedicated to representing and supporting beef farmers across Ireland. As we continue to grow and expand our services to better serve our members, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Part-Time General Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Government Submissions & Lobbying: Prepare and submit proposals, and actively lobby government bodies on issues affecting the beef sector.
- Purchasing Group Management: Oversee and manage our purchasing group, including updating existing deals and sourcing new opportunities for our members.
- Website Maintenance: Ensure our website is kept up to date with relevant information, news, and resources.
- Member Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for our members, addressing their needs and fostering strong relationships.
- Media Liaison: Engage with media outlets to promote the organisation’s initiatives and represent the interests of Irish beef farmers.
- Representation at Meetings: Attend and represent the organisation at relevant meetings, events, and forums to advocate for the beef sector.
Ideal Candidate:
- Highly motivated and self-driven, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, stakeholders, government bodies, and media.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A passion for the agricultural sector, particularly the beef industry.
