Mechanical Design Engineer

We currently have an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work with one of the leading agricultural machinery manufacturers in Ireland. The role is broad and involves a hands-on approach as well as producing detailed drawings and liaising with customers Role responsibilities include;

Responsibilities

• Producing 3D models & 2D fabrication drawings for customised machine orders.
• Producing detailed specifications and designs based on customer requirements. These will include hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic elements.
• Liaising with production during fabrication and assembly of customised machines. A hands-on approach is expected.
• Producing bills of materials for designs. Ensuring all the required components and elements of the design are completed on time and to the correct specification.
• Liaising with sales personal and customers to ensure the correct setup and use of finished machines. Providing documentation where required.
• Archiving all design details for future reference and after sales support.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have;

• Experience in the agricultural machinery industry.
• Diploma/Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working with MS Excel and Solidworks.
• Experience working with agricultural machinery.
