Job description:

A full time role working in the Transport Office Rath, working with a team coordinating routes/loads for a JGrennan & Sons customer orders.  Working with suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating and planning of efficient transport routes and schedules.
  • Negotiate with transport companies for cost-efficient delivery rates.
  • Use logistic software to optimise routes to ensure routes are cost effective.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of product.
  • Input customer orders in an accurate & timely manner.
  • Assist in all aspects of inside office sales support/customer service.
  • Respond to customer sales inquiries in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner.
  • Handle customer complaints as per internal procedures.
  • Building lasting relationships with customers and ensuring they feel supported and valued.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s transport routeing experience required.
  • Friendly telephone manner
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to manage and nurture relationships with customer and suppliers.
  • Work efficiently with other internal departments such as sales & production.
  • High levels of customer focus & attention to detail
  • Ability to priorities workload and time.
  • Effective teamwork
  • Ability to work on their own and in a team environment.
