Our client Goldcrop is a national distributor/ wholesale company serving the Irish market.  It has an excellent reputation and a leading market position in Seed, Chemicals and other Agri inputs.

Due to a retirement they have a vacancy for a Business Portfolio Manager for their Crop Packaging and Farm Fencing products- Silage Wrap, Silage Sheets, Net Wrap, Baler Twine, Fencing Wire and Posts.

The role of the successful appointee is to maintain and further develop the scope, sales development and profitability of this portfolio.  The Candidate will be responsible for the procurement, pricing and management of all products under their remit. He or she will also be responsible for driving product sales to a national network of Co-op’s, Agri-merchants and retailers.

The Ideal candidate should have:

  • A good knowledge of supply channels and the product range.
  • A good knowledge of manufacturing issues and the Agri trade.
  • Good commercial and  Key Account sales experience
  • Ability to manage related research and marketing initiatives.

This Manager will develop marketing plans and strategies to enhance business relationships. A good Agri education or third level equivalent is required. Previous sales and business development experience in the Agri sector is essential.

Excellent communication, people, presentation and IT skills are required. The Candidate will be self-motivated, show initiative, be energetic and results oriented with a passion to succeed

This is a Senior Management position within the Group.  The remuneration/benefits package will reflect the senior nature of the appointment. Further info and a detailed job spec is available on request.
