About the Role

Glynns Agrichoice is a retail Agri store catering to farmers in the North Galway / South Mayo area. We have been in business for over 100 years.

In addition to Animal Feeds and Fertiliser we offer a broad range of household and Agri Supplies, DIY, Fuel, Electrical, Household, Garden, and Workwear products.

Glynns Agrichoice are seeking to hire a Retail Branch / Sales Manager based in Milltown Co Galway.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who is confident, ambitious, and motivated to grow with the business. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the business and should feel confident and motivated to challenge themselves and grow with the business.

What We’re Looking For

Required skills/Qualifications:

• A proven track record in Retail Management with strong people management experience.
• Management qualification or similar business qualification advantageous.
• Retail / Agri Background is required.
• An understanding of key relevant product categories including Agri inputs.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with a proven ability to build & maintain strong working relationships with customers, colleagues & stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead & obtain results through teamwork & employee engagement.
• Strong organisational, planning & time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient IT / systems skills including MS Office suite & Point of Sale (POS).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead a motivated, engaged & enabled team, ensuring team members are fully trained, competent and developed in their roles.
• Control and analyse key performance indicators to ensure targets are met.
• Deliver on our commitment to excellence in customer experience.
• Lead a safety-first culture, improve & maintain site safety in line with best practice, quickly identify & resolve safety hazards & observe site safety governance.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies & procedures, legislative requirements and audit standards.
• Monitor & manage business administration as required, including stock management, cash control, wage costs, budgets and profit and loss.
• Any other activities, as required in order to ensure the successful operation of the store.

Desirable:

• Agricultural Science / Management qualification (Degree or Diploma)
• Retail qualifications or relevant training
• Passion for agriculture and farming life

Must have or be willing to obtain within 3 months:

• Level 6 Animal Remedies Certification
• Forklift, Manual Handling & First Aid Certifications
