OCAE are currently seeking applications from agricultural and environmental science graduates to work as an agri-environmental consultant.

The role:

Preparing vulnerability assessments, GIS mapping (ARC GIS & AutoCad) and nutrient management plans for submission to the EPA and Local Authorities.

Providing consultancy to farmer clients in the areas of Basic Payment Scheme applications, nitrates compliance, nutrient management and GLAS planning.

Preparation of Waste Management Permit and collection permit applications.

Preparation of Annual Environmental Reports and records.

The successful candidates must have a level 8 degree in agricultural, environmental science or related discipline and at least one year’s GIS experience.

Applicants must have a minimum of one years’ experience in agricultural consultancy or environmental monitoring. The successful applicants must be hardworking, be able to work as part of a team, have strong organisational, communication and IT skills. In addition they must be capable of adhering to strict deadlines, have strong report writing and presentation skills.

Whilst not essential it is desirable that the successful candidate Is a registered ccFAS advisor with the Department of Agriculture and has strong agricultural background.

All positions will require a full clean EU driving license.
